PC project in Lesotho is a collaborative project between Lesotho government and the Canton of Geneva (under the umbrella of UNCTAD) to implement PCs in schools, health centres, public cybercafés.
LIFE (linux integrated free environment) will be installed on these PCs.
In summary, the project consist of helping to move from policy to action.
Based on the implementation of about 200 PCs in different areas, this project is completly under the control of the Lesotho authorities to deploy their action plan for IT in Lesotho.
LIFE is developed in collaboration with CERN and the association Software without border (look at their site http://www.isfswb.org/index.html)
